Welcome to our blog! Here is a little background info about us. . . just in case you are curious.
BECOMING MR&MRS
Kenton and I both grew up in a small town in Idaho. We first met when we were five years old. My family had just moved to said small town in Idaho and we bought our house from Kenton's parents. Kenton's mom brought us cookies to welcome us to our new home. . . I remember a small pudgy boy, Kenton remembers nothing.
We grew up knowing of each other but we never talked. This is weird because thinking back, we went to the same school and even had mutual friends.
We met "again" on a Spring afternoon just after I had graduated high school and after Kenton's first year of college. We were instantly best friends. Kenton wanted more but I was uninterested in dating at the time. Kenton said, "Ok, so let me be your friend". That lasted about a week, I just liked him too much!
After the summer was over, I went away to college and Kenton left to serve a two year mission for our church. We wrote "casually"- both knowing that it would probably not work out.
Two years went by and when I should have been forgetting about Kenton, I just couldn't stop thinking about him.
When he came home, it was as if he had never left. I was still in love. And I guess he was too- we were engaged two months later and married two months after that.
THE KIDS
Our little Afton joined our family a year after we were married. She is a spitfire with a gentle heart. She loves to socialize and learn. She giggles non stop and keeps us giggling too.
Emme joined us almost three years later. We can tell she came strait from Heaven. She has a kind soul and show her extreme love for you with a simple simple.
Our girls are the joy of our lives and the greatest blessings we have ever received. We feel very lucky to be their parents!
THE HOBBIES
Kenton does internet marketing for a living. He loves his job, especially the chance to be creative. Kenton loves photography (more like he is obsessed). He loves digital photography but lately has been learning film photography as well. He is super talented and I love that he takes cute pics of our life.
I'm into anything that lets me be creative. Blogging (of course), crochet, sewing here and there, decorating our new home, little bits of graphic design, etc, etc.
But most of all I LOVE spending my days with our little girls. I consider myself very blessed to be their mom and to be at home with them everyday. Life is good.
