We are t-6 weeks until our little guy is due!
We can't find a name we both like and his nursery isn't even close to being ready.
Hopefully- hopefully- we will have everything ready in time!
Lately, we've been in recovery mode.
Since our crazy July, we've been trying to get back in the swing of things.
We went through the typical "after reunion week of sickness"
and then a week of catching up and preparing the house for a baby shower.
And now we find ourselves with nothing super pressing until the baby comes.
Its kind of crazy and relieving and scary all at the same time.
Here are some photos of life lately. Lots of simple days at home- my absolutely favorite kind of days.
Emme got her first fat lip (the picture doesn't really show it- she was so mad she wouldn't let us get a shot of it- but man oh man she is gorgeous in this semi-out-of-focus pictures - I just had to share)
Kenton and I were lucky enough to go on a date this weekend. We both needed to get ready and the babysitter was coming and I didn't want the girls to mess up the dining area because I had just cleaned it for the shower the next day- so we sent them out to the backyard (a luxury of home ownership that I am definitely do not use enough!) We couldn't get over how cute they were as they ate their picnic. They truly are the best of friends and it melts my heart.
We didn't want to chance messing it up so we had to take a picture of it through the window.
One benefit of living in an older neighborhood is that our neighbors have everything figured out- and are willing to share their knowledge! Our next door neighbors have a hummingbird feeder. Its pretty much the coolest thing ever! They told us where to get a feeder, what they put in it, and when to watch for them. When we got our own, we blamed it on the girls. "The girls thought it was so cool. They couldn't stop talking about it. We just had to get one." But honestly, it was Kenton and I who couldn't stop talking about getting one.
We were nervous we were going to steal hummingbirds from our neighbors, but apparently we are just bringing more around! Our neighbor has counted for different birds that circulate between our two houses. It seriously is the coolest thing!
And of course, whenever we think ANYTHING is cool, Kenton got the camera out. So fun!

6 weeks until you're due??! Wow!!! You need to get some pictures up here of you and Kenton! Not that your girls aren't absolutely precious, but I want to see a picture of your baby boy bump!!
